 This
picture sees me return to the theme of singers. Unlike my portrait
of Stevie Nicks this singer is in the process of singing.
In November
of 2007 I was privileged to see Brandi Carlile and her band play
a small gig in London. What made it significant was it was their
first performance on UK soil. I'd only known of Brandi Carlile a
few months before but I immediately liked her sound. click

 Back
on a summer's evening in 2008 by pure chance I came across a contemporary
dance troupe performing on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral. One
tall blond girl stole the show for me. She had a powerful grace
about her. This was too good an opportunity to capture the human
form in full flight. I took a series of photos and the result would
be the picture I simply call 'The Dancer'. It's a theme I may return
to...
