Studying William
Bouguereau's work has been a total education. I come away from this
picture having learned so much. I'd rate Bouguereau as one of the
finest painters of the female human form that I have seen. He captured
those subtle nuances of light that play across the surface of human
skin so well. It's the subtleties in his work that give it that
vitality; that give it 'life'.
I'd urge you
to look on the internet for his painting 'Letoile Perdue', the picture
I drew this figure from. For me it is a beautiful painting.
