The Moment 2010 by Paul Noonan Pencil & Acrlylic wash on board Detail Her hair was absolutely perfect for her act. It was incredibly striking and effective and added to the elegance and grace she already had. The tightness of the hair accentuated the shape of her head and showed off her neck to great effect. As she was facing the evening sun I found it incredibly difficult to draw the very lightest areas of the face. At times it was like drawing highlights within highlights. This portrait was all about capturing power and grace in just a head and shoulders portrait. |
