In this close-up
you can see the pencil work used to capture the hair. The picture
itself is only about 20cm square so the close-up is quite revealing.
I remember I used a hard 7H pencil together with an HB to get the
desired effect. It's a surprise I didn't rip the paper to shreads
with that sharp 7H. Today I use a much wider range of pencils mostly
on card rather than paper.
