Life ! 2006 by Paul Noonan Detail Pencil on Paper This picture was only supposed to be a preliminary drawing but it took on a momentum of it's own. I couldn't use my normal water colour wash technique as the paper was too fragile. It was a chance for me to rely totally on pencil shading. You can see the evidence of cross-hatching in this close up. Sadly I cannot trace the online wedding album I saw the original photo in as I would like to show the picture to the photographer and more importantly the girl. I guess I'll just have to keep looking....
