Portrait of Guy Pencil and wash on card Perhaps the biggest 'buzz' I get when I draw a portrait is that moment when, what started as a few pencil strokes on a piece of paper, starts staring back at me. It's a priceless feeling. It was a powerful moment when this drawing too started to look back at me at a very early stage in it's development.
