The
Horseshoe
1990 by
Paul Noonan
Detail
Graphite
pencil on cardor
Though this
is a big picture as my pictures go the scale of the characters is
such that attention to detail required a sharp pencil. The bride's
hair and the floral arrangement on her head were two of the more
testing things to draw. I had to get this right or my sister-in-law
would never forgive me LOL.
This was a drawing
purely in pencil with no watercolour used so I relied on techniques
I used in earlier drawings. Again no cross-hatching of the pencil
strokes was used either.
