Portrait of Ingrid Bergman by Paul Noonan

Portrait of Ingrid Bergman 1989        by Paul Noonan

Graphite pencil on paper

Like perhaps many people I was captivated by Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. She had such style and class. It's the elegance in a photo of her sitting on a table that prompted me to draw her yet again. Again this is a small picture and getting the detail right was the key for me with this one. Seventeen years on I can say I still like it. I can totally understand what made me want to draw it.
