Life ! 2006 by Paul Noonan This picture is dedicated to the wonderful memory of 'Josie' Noonan Pencil on paper For good reason this portrait will always be special to me. From the very first day I started drawing her I felt good about this picture. In an online wedding album I saw a photo of this bridesmaid dancing and I immediately saw the potential for what I hoped could be a good drawing. The music and the occasion have released the free spirit within her. Joie de Vivre comes to mind for me, although I've called this picture Life ! for very personal reasons. 2006 was a tough year. I saw life's fragility and I saw it's strength. I literally drew on that experience to do this portrait. For more detail
